Beautiful Village Development in Naitimu Village, Belu Regency

According to Presidential Decree No. 39 of 2019 concerning One Indonesian Data, BPS as a village supervisor has the responsibility to carry out sectoral guidance. The need to carry out sectoral development at the village level as an effort to achieve One Indonesian Data is an urgency that must be carried out in order to increase the statistical literacy of village officials.
Villages, which are now a national development priority, require villages not only as development objects but also as development subjects. Increasing village capacity in terms of statistical business processes is the start of providing quality data not only at the village level but also quality data at the national level. The implementation of the village of love of statistics training began with the declaration of Naitimu Village as a village of love of statistics. The criteria that must be met are affordable village accessibility, qualified human resource capacity, and the area can be accessed by the internet network.
The Belu Regency Regional Government fully supports the Love of Statistics Village Development activities in Naitimu Village where a letter of support was submitted directly by the Belu Regency regional secretary to the Head of the Belu Regency BPS. During the launching activity, a memorandum of understanding was also signed between BPS Belu and Naitimu Village to make the Beautiful Village activities of Belu Regency a success in 2024.
The Love Statistics Village or Cantik Village is a program to increase the competency of village officials in managing and utilizing data so that village development planning is more targeted. The objectives of Desa Cantik in general are: 1. Increase literacy, awareness and active role of village/ward officials and the community in carrying out statistical activities, 2. Standardize statistical data management to maintain the quality and comparability of statistical indicators, 3. Optimize the use and utilization of statistical data so that the program development in the village is right on target.
